2. Direction While Praying:

It is recommended that you face east or north while offering prayers or meditation. Facing these directions is believed to bring spiritual benefits and connect you to divine energies.

Avoid facing south or west while praying, as this is considered inauspicious.

Proper lighting is very important. Preferably, the room should have natural light. If that’s not possible, soft artificial lighting like oil lamps or candles can be used to create a peaceful ambiance.

Ensure the pooja room is well-ventilated, with fresh air circulation. This helps in maintaining a serene and calm environment.

4. Design and Decoration:

Simple and Uncluttered Design: The pooja room should be kept simple and clutter-free. Avoid overcrowding with too many idols or objects. The focus should be on the divine presence and not material possessions.

Use of Sacred Symbols: Incorporating symbols like Om, Swastik, Kalash, or images of deities is encouraged. These symbols are said to bring divine energy.

Sacred Materials: Wood and stone are the best materials to use in a pooja room. Avoid metal materials as they are believed to cause disruption in the energy flow.

5. Cleanliness:

Regular Cleaning: A clean pooja room is essential for maintaining the purity of energy. Regularly wipe the idols and the space, and offer fresh flowers and incense to keep the atmosphere sacred.
